About presentation

我10月2就present啦~~
SOWK1008,,講welfare service in hong kong,,
佢要我visit一個centre然後去問問題~~
咁其實presentation係咪用咩format都得??
仲有之後都有一個好近似既presentation - SOWK1002,,
要interview a social worker,,
我諗住一次過做哂~
要自己諗3條問題問~~
要同堂上/readings有連繫,,
有冇suggestions可以俾到我??

第一件事....

個powerpoint唔好成段essay咁copy上去.....

真係打main point好啦

其實PRESENTATION冇咩特定FORMAT 既~
不過多數O係TUTORIAL 入面既PRESENTATION 都會用以下兩種形式LA:
1. 用POWERPOINT 做PRESENT~好似ERIC咁講:打MAIN POINT~同埋注意成個POWERPOINT 既CONSISTENCY~即係個PT用開"TO"就下面幾個POINT都用"TO"開頭~
2. 自己PREPARE NOTES FOR YOUR GROUPMATES~
因為唔係好清楚你地上TUTOR 既SETTING~
我諗你最好SEND個E-MAIL 問下個TUTOR PREFER 邊種方法~
話晒都係TUTOR 俾分你~

至於問WORKER問題~
因為唔係好知你READING係講咩~
你可唔可以講多D俾我知?

你地今年個course係1008...唔知係咪同我舊年上楊森個個差唔多呢?
但係我個時係楊森set左幾個centre俾我地去...
去到個度先問問題...最後寫返個visit report...所以唔可以自己揀centre ga...

至於1002...個時我同ivy+flora一組...
我地去到問既問題都係關於values...
但係其實你去之前最好先搵下個worker既bg先...
你要了解左佢先至prep到去問咩問題ga...
例如我地上次in個個worker係做緊學校services既...
就會問佢同d老師點配合啊~係間學校做有d咩constraints...
又或者會問佢如果有學生犯校規又或者發生大件事佢會點handle...
點先會同個老師/屋企人講呢?
因為如果講左又會令個client對你失信心等等...

除左values之外...仲可以問下佢係唔同既情況底下個role有咩唔同~
以我個case黎舉例...
係學校入面做worker個role同佢係centre入面個role唔到ga ma~
又或者佢做某program既pic個role都會唔同...
所以都問到幾多野~!

Presentation format? 大致上無限制吧，生動d/creative d不是更好嗎？

三條問題... 沒見過你的readings，比唔到suggestions。自己諗多少少啦。

readings,,我諗到既野：
what is social worker
what is social welfare
what is social policy
social justice
roles and functions of social worker
objectives of social work
human needs and wants
empowerment, self-esteem, self-respect

Presentation format, no specific requirement~ here's some suggestions~
1. keep it clear and short~ (in point form~ dont do power-essay.. =P)
2. be relevant~ (dont copy all info. you hv found to the ppt, do highlight important points related to the topic)
3. reasonable flow of content~ (a clear and logical flow, pls dont jump from here to there, pls do it as easy to follow as possible. =])
4. reference~ (do keep a reference list in the ppt)
5. interesting~ (add interesting elements to your presentation e.g. video, role play, short drama, etc. depends on the topic you selected =])

Interview Questions~
1. Relevant to the present question~

E.g. SOWK1008 (sth abt service & policy)~ ask service related questions~ e.g. wt service is provided? how? to whom? for wt purpose? useful? service challenges? difficulties? service loophole? policy problem? resources problem? suggestions for improvement? etc.

E.g. SOWK 1002 (sth abt sowk value, principle, roles)~ pls skim through the readings~ find areas that u dont understand or feel confused~ do ask the social worker for those areas~ see how they apply their knowledge, how they tackle with value conflicts, or wt is their role in their agency? wt diffuculties they encounter when they hold their prinicples? or how they deal with confidentiality, etc.?

Try not to ask questions that you can find answers from literature =]
grasp the chance to ask social worker questions that u dont understand or make you confused after the readings~ =]
